The Bernese Mountain Dog was born as dog for farm and he was employed as guardian to grazing cattle and to help people in the transport of heavy object (it is said that he was able to pull up to four times his weight) yet today, during some meeting of this breed, you can see some Bernese Mountain Dog attached to a traditional handcart of that time, but by now the Bernese has left this duty, to become completely a friend of family and a great playmate for children and adults. His attractive appearance is not the best thing of  Bernese, but only one of the many. His particularity is the character never aggressive or violent, he is the classic “gentle giant” of the fairy tales, always ready and faithful to his master. If we want to find just one fault to this Big dog, we can say that Bernese is a bit intrusive, he has a great need to stay near to the people that he loves. In fact the Bernese will never grow tired of your cuddles and to spend the day near you, wherever you are. He will be happy if he is at your side. When we approached this breed, someone told us that the Bernese Mountain Dog was the “goodness become dog”; today we can also testify the same.

The American Bulldog is the result of history. The breed was born in America in the 19 Century with the arrival of British settlers, which brought with them their faithful English Bulldog, that are surely ancestors of this breed. Today, they are certainly different, stronger, more agile and ready both for work and play. The American Bulldog does his best as guard. The breed has a exceptional perception of the danger (it’s the result of centuries of selection), as well as power, strength and agility. He constantly seeks the contact with the his master, but he also can wait until his return, without annoying the neighbours barking. He doesn’t need a specific training, because guarding and defending, strictly speaking, are part of his nature. Thanks to condition you understand that he is a molosser: a little pigheaded, but quick in learning. If you want to train him, the trainer must be a qualified person who knows well this kind of dogs and his reactions. The American Bulldog is a dog for everyone, on condition that he is correctly selected and well educated, he will not ever intrusive or cumbersome, wherever you are.
